EMERCON project workshop on Quantitative trace analysis of Perfluorinated compounds (PFCs) in food and environmental matrices has been organised at VSCHT Praha, Czech Republic, on 25-26 May 2010.
This workshop provided participants knowledge about approaches to the analysis of new emerging contaminants, perfuorinated compounds (PFCs) in food and environmental matrices.
Workshop key objectives are:

  • Overview of all issues related to the PFCs analysis in food and environment, method optimisation and validation, QA/QC
  • Methodology developed to introduce procedure for PFCs determination into practice will be provided to workshop participants and practically demonstrated.
  • Information about interlaboratory study for PFCs determination in food, possible involvement of workshop participants.
  • Discussion of future challenges in PFCs research
